man island is a director´s cut version of a commissioned documentary film. facing the problem of editing 18 minutes of film out of 8 hours of raw material while having in mind all the other unborn possible films, the piece is a presentation of the shot lists of the base tapes presented in the form of rolling credits, thus abandoning any editorial decision. the backdrop indicates the films setting, an island in the indian ocean.
